About Me

I have been an avid reader from the minute I learned to read. I have always had a wild imagination and imagined all kind of stories that but never tackled writing them down until my children were growing up. I am a late bloomer because I was in my fifties when I started to take writing courses. I have sense self published two books. One is Bess's Magical Garden, a middle grade novel and a picture book Gramma Mouse Tells a Story. I have two other books in different stages that I am working on.
I am also an artist and have been painting for over twenty years. I use several mediums that include pencil, colored pencil and acrylics. I have done all the illustrations for my books including the cover for Bess's Magical Garden.

Additional Information

I am working on The Mystery of The Hidden Cabin which is a sequel to Bess's Magical Garden. I sent it to an editor who went through it and had some good suggestions. After going through everything making corrections I have set it aside for a few weeks. My goal is to have it done by early fall. The Mystery of the Hidden Cabin is available on Amazon. I am always working on short stories that I publish on my website and other locations. I am currently in the process of publishing my next book Voices of Yesterday. The main character Kate is having a hard time dealing with her parent's divorce. Her teacher gives the class the assignment to research a historical person, event or place. Kate chooses the Franklin Manor where she lives with her Mom. She is used to working alone but her teacher assigns a working companion Rose. During her research, she discovers a link to her own family. This book will be out soon. I am also having a historical novel edited. The working title is The Cherry Hill Farm. A young couple immigrates to Upper Canada during the 1800s.
