About Me

I was born in London and have enjoyed a successful career as an Information Technology professional in the UK, US, Europe, Singapore, and more recently Australia. I currently reside in Melbourne, Victoria, with my 8-year-old Belgian Shepherd, Nikki.

Although still working full-time, I am a passionate volunteer for several non-profit organisations, either as a Board member or consultant. Sales proceeds from my books go to The Smith Family (http://www.thesmithfamily.com.au) and EdConnect Australia (http://EdConnectAustralia.org.au). I finds that volunteering time and energy to those less fortunate is an effective antidote to life-long depression and the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The idea for “A Life Singular” originated when I was 14, and the story continues to develop in fits and starts since then, whenever time and life events permit. Part One ("A Life Singular") was published in June 2013, Parts Two ("A Life Found") and Three ("A Life Entwined") in 2014. Part Four ("A Life Lived") was released in March 2015 and Part Five ("A Life Tested") came out in March 2016. I hope to finish Part Six ("A Life Loved") in March 2017, which puts me under pressure to complete the series in December 2017 with "A Life After", to see the story end in contemporary times.

I have two main goals for my writing: first, to inspire fellow sufferers of mental illness to rise above their symptoms and make a success of their lives; and second, to encourage non-sufferers to tolerate, support and even love those afflicted in our quest to live a “normal” life.
