About Me

My short plays, Déjà vu on the Obituary Page, Ghost Gig, and Hiding Bodies, offered in June and July 2016 at off-off-Broadway venues, mark my world production debut as a playwright and NYC debut as a director. My most recent publication, Restoring the Republic: A New Social Contract for We the People, was released March 30, 2016; the book explores the state of democracy in the USA. My first novel, The Secret History of Another Rome, was issued by Kellan Publishing on April 2, 2015 and is now under the bearly designed imprint.

Boots on the Ground, a novella, was included in the anthology The Brawny and the Bold, by Kellan in November 2015. I have just completed a prequel to Another Rome entitled C Square that is looking for a home. A related short story called See You on Hel, and a flash fiction piece, Ranulf Takes Flight, are scheduled for anthologies coming out in August 2016. I also have ghosted three memoirs for clients and have had various essays and poetry accepted for publication.

I was born in Pittston, PA and raised in the Baltimore-Washington area. I have lived in the Albany, NY, area since 1995. I spent over 30 years working in higher education as a professor of political science and a student success specialist. I lived overseas in China, Hong Kong, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia and have traveled extensively. My hobbies include gardening, cooking, traveling, reading books on natural science, religion, geography, and world history, and submission wrestling. My spouse and I enjoy taking care of our century-old house, our three cats, and each other.
