About Me

Born in England, I have worked as an editor/proof reader in Belgium and New Zealand for an international scientific journal, and for an international medical journal in New Zealand. As a freelance editor/proof reader I have enjoyed working on scientific/medical/humanities theses, novels and non fiction, legal and medical articles.

As a copywriter I've worked for trade and travel magazines.

I am also an author with two books published - a novel, War and Chance, and a biography 'The Civilian Bomb Disposing Earl' published by Pen & Sword, UK.

I am working on two books at the moment - a novel based on fact 'The Milkbar Murder' about a miscarriage of justice set in New Zealand during the 1950s (also part of a 3 part documentary on Prime TV about murders in New Zealand), and a time travel novel set in an idyllic village in south east England at the beginning of the Battle of Britain.

Additional Information

I have university papers in: sociology, cultural anthropology, human development, adolescence, and religious studies (for historical purposes).

For 6yrs I worked with the NZ Police with young offenders as a Nominated Person, and with girls with behavioural issues in college.
