As a way of introduction, I would like to say I'm proud to be an Old-West historian, a western writer and a born storyteller.

My publishing background includes: three non-fiction books on the West, many magazine and newspaper articles, and several Western movie screenplays.

As a departure from non-fiction, I've just finished my first novel, “T-Head Dead”, a crime novel set in present day Corpus Christi, Texas. It will soon be available in book stores, libraries, Amazon and other retailers.

I'm a member of the Western Writers of America and have been on panel discussions about frontier gambling. I just appeared in a television documentary on famous feuds in the Old West.

My wife and I live Kerrville, Texas, with our Chihuahua, "Shooter."

Corpus Christi, Texas remains my favorite vacation spot, where I like to shoot pictures and fish from piers in the Texas Gulf. My wife and I enjoy watching the fishing boats return up the ship channel as the sun goes down while sipping drinks at our favorite restaurant, "Snoopy's."

My books include Frontier Gambling, The Texas Pistoleers, and Willis Newton: The Last Texas Outlaw.

My books on Kindle include John King Fisher: King of the Nueces Strip and Notorious Gamblers of the Old West.
